AFEMS Fluid Flow is a 3-D general-purpose, finite-element program that iscapable of simulating a wide range of flow problems. It operates on theIBM PS/2 and compatibles, and on engineering workstations. AFEMS performscomplicated steady or transient flow; compressible or incompressibleflow; and laminar or turbulent flow at a fraction of the cost of using amainframe program, yet within a reasonable time span. AFEMS Fluid Flow isfully coupled with the Thermal module. It is also compatible with otherAFEMS modules for modeling solid-liquid interaction.Finite-element modeling is conducted through the user-friendly AFEMS-Interactive module, generates mesh and interactive color graphicsdisplays for model verification. AFEMS features 2-D planar, isothermal orthermal; 2-D axisymmetric and 3-D flow; steady and transient flow;laminar and turbulent flow; Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluid;incompressible and compressible flow; free surface; friction boundary;transient boundary condition; surface traction; rotational and generalbody forces; and flow around arbitrary shaped bodies.
